Associate, ULI Utah
This is a full-time, non-exempt position, located in Salt Lake City, Utah

ULI district councils deliver the Institute’s mission at the local level by providing members with education, networking, and opportunities to give back to the community. With over 1,400 members across the entire state of Georgia and eastern Tennessee, ULI Atlanta (ULI ATL) represents one of the Institute’s largest and most active district councils and is the preeminent local organization focused on creating and sustaining communities through land use, development, and redevelopment decisions.
The ULI Atlanta team works directly with our members, who include high-level business professionals, public officials, corporate executives, and senior members of the real estate and land use community, to help facilitate and advance thought leadership on ULI’s global mission priorities at the local level.
The Associate is a professional position within the District Council and will focus on supporting both the program management of the office and providing support for programming at our member-facing events. This job includes a mix of “back of the house” operations support, record-keeping, and event planning with “front of the house” event and program management and attendance. As an integral part of the staff team, The Associate is also one of the faces of the District Council members call the Associate first for assistance and information, so it is imperative that they be courteous, friendly, relationally-oriented, and attentive to detail. The position requires the ability and willingness to travel throughout the Atlanta region and attend both in-person and virtual meetings, events, or programs in the early mornings or evenings.
The Associate serves as an informed resource for District Council committees, interfacing with these committees to ensure that all work is consistent with the ULI’s policies and procedures and that ULI Atlanta’s goals and objectives are met. The Associate also works closely with the Executive Director and senior staff to maintain administrative, financial, and office operations of the District Council, including membership, sponsorship, programs, and communications.
Strong candidates for this position will be highly organized, detail-oriented, obsessed with accuracy, effective multitaskers, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. A key success factor for this position is needing little direction or oversight, having an entrepreneurial, can-do attitude and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Willing to execute on any task as assigned with a positive attitude.
The ULI Atlanta team is currently working in a hybrid environment, with employees spending two to three days a week in person at our Atlanta office and/or supporting field operations and member engagement activities that are in-person, as required. Work scheduling requirements are driven by our local programming and initiatives that are all being held in-person and attendance is required.
ULI Atlanta’s offices are located in Midtown and the team currently practices a hybrid schedule. In office attendance will be required.
The Associate is tasked with supporting the Executive Director (ED) and district council staff in administrative support, committee coordination, event, and operational support.
Communications and Operations Support
The Associate works closely with the ED and district council staff to ensure smooth operations of the district council, including the following activities:
General Logistics and Event Support
Committee Coordination with Young Leaders Group (YLG), DEI, and Membership Committee(s)
The Associate will coordinate three committees under the direction of the ED and committee chairs.
