Senior Director of Research, Terwilliger Center for Housing
This is a hybrid, full-time, exempt position, located in Washington, DC.
The Urban Land Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research and education organization supported by its members. ULI district councils deliver the Institute’s mission at the local level by providing members with education, networking, and opportunities to give back to the community. With over 600 members, ULI San Antonio is the preeminent local organization focused on creating and sustaining communities through land use, development, and redevelopment decisions.
ULI San Antonio works directly with our members, who include high-level business professionals, public officials, corporate executives, and senior members of the real estate and land use community, to help facilitate and advance thought leadership on ULI’s global mission priorities at the local level.
As a part of the district council team, the Associate serves as a liaison among ULI headquarters, district council staff, ULI San Antonio members, and ULI San Antonio sponsors. The Associate is often the first point of contact for the organization, so it is imperative that this individual be customer service oriented, courteous, and professional. Strong candidates for this position will be highly organized, detail-oriented, obsessed with accuracy, effective multitaskers, and able to work independently and with initiative in a fast-paced environment with direction and oversight.
The ULI San Antonio team is currently working in a work from home environment, with employees supporting field operations and member engagement activities that are in person, as required. Work scheduling requirements are driven by our local programming and initiatives that are all being held in person and attendance is required.
All ULI staff must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
The Associate is tasked with supporting the district council staff in administrative support, committee coordination, event execution, and sponsorship.
Administrative, Communications, and Operations Support
The Associate works closely with the district council staff to ensure smooth operations of the district council, including the following activities:
General Logistics and Event Support
Support the ULI San Antonio team and member committees in the development and implementation of topical industry, thought leadership, and professional development content.
