Other Voluntary Pre-tax Benefits
Health Savings Account (HSA)
The Health Savings Account is available to employees who enroll in ULI’s high deductible health plan. ULI will fund a portion of the deductible by making contributions directly into individual’s Health Savings Account (HSA). HSA accounts allow for pre-tax dollars to be set aside by employers or employees for qualified health care expenses. HSA accounts allow unused dollars to grow tax-free, carry over each year, and move with the employee from job to job. Employees who wish to reduce their taxable income may contribute pre-tax dollars to their HSA up to the IRS maximum.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
ULI provides employees with the opportunity to reduce their taxes by participating in a Health Care and/or Dependent Care FSA. Employees do not need to elect medical, dental or vision coverage in order to participate in the FSA.
Parking and Transportation Commuter Plan
Employees may set aside money on a pre-tax basis to pay for parking or public transportation expenses related to their commute to and from work.
Retirement
403(b) Plan
ULI’s 403(b) plan provides employees with a variety of investment options from which to choose. ULI will contribute 3% of the salary base contribution plus a dollar-for-dollar match up to 3%, then 50 cents on the next 2% of the employee’s contribution after one year of service. If the employee contributes 5%, ULI will match 4% of their contribution plus 3% of the base contribution, totaling a 7% contribution from ULI into the retirement plan. The maximum pre-tax contribution should not exceed the IRS limit for the current year.

Paid Time Off & Personal Leave
Full-time employees are eligible for up to 15 days of paid time off per calendar year. ULI employees also receive six sick days to use per year. Employees are eligible for 27 days of paid time off after ten years of service.
Part-time regular employees who work at least 30 hours/week accrue and earn paid time off and sick time at half the rate of full time employees.
