Industry’s Premier Event is Set for September 18-21 in Washington D.C.
WASHINGTON (June 27, 2019) — Increasing diversity within the real estate industry, as well as incorporating sustainability in real estate transactions, are among the broad variety of topics and issues that industry experts will be discussing at the Urban Land Institute’s 2019 Fall Meeting, set for September 18-21 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C.
ULI’s Fall Meeting, which is the industry’s premier event, is expected to draw more than 7,000 of the world’s leading real estate professionals, including commercial developers, finance executives, economic development specialists, architects, urban planners, property owners and managers, real estate consultants, and public officials.

New Fall Meeting sessions include:
- The Business Case for Diversity and Inclusion: Concept, Practice and Actionable Insights: Panelists will discuss how diversity can add to building, growing and sustaining businesses, how to implement inclusion strategies, and how to build a more inclusive and productive real estate development ecosystem.
- Making Sustainability Work for Hotels and Resorts: In this session, panelists will delve deeper into ULI’s forthcoming report, Sustainability in Hotels: Opportunities Driving Value-Add and Trends Shaping the Future of Hospitality and discuss how sustainability can play a strong role in enhancing the overall guest experience.
- Taking Advantage of Real Estate Transactions to Embed Sustainability in (and Add Value to) the Deal: At this session, panelists will discuss the opportunities that exist to leverage sustainability to reduce long-term risks and drive higher returns over time. This panel will expand upon the recently released report Embedding Sustainability in Real Estate Transactions with real world examples of how companies are embedding sustainability principles into their acquisitions.
